The streaming major, Spotify, has granted its media account to Publicis Media after a global pitch. The Publicis Group’s media investments firm has invented a bounded unit for the Spotify business, called Publicis OneVibe. The media firm in India, will be handling the streamer’s media account as per the realignment.
According to the reports, India was not included while the streamer stipulated for global review of $240 million global media account in 2023. Omnicom and Publicis were the two ad holding firms that last during the global contest, while the incumbent is noticed to be IPG Mediabrands’ UM.
Reportedly, the streamer’s media expends are Rs 100 crore in India though certain industry evaluates and suggest the range between Rs 150 and 200 crore. Howbeit, the media spend is crooked when it comes to digital.
After 7 years of partnership, Spotify and UM departed ways. The global contents was spearheaded by Spotify’s US office, which granted the media account to Publicis Groupe from IPG Mediabrands-owned Lodestar UM. In India, the streamer’s creative works are handled by Leo Burnett, Publicis Groupe agency.
Following the global realignment, Spotify will be one of the mega media accounts in the French advertising group’s roaster of clients, which Publicis India has won.
“After several months-long pitch, PepsiCo India awarded its mandate to Leo Burnett of Publicis Groupe from WPP’s Wunderman Thompson or VML in 2022, notably.”
