NDTV Profit, the new entrant in the business news space, saw its launch day rolled out with a spectacular line-up of dignitaries, celebs and industry stalwarts.
The launch day of the channel started with actor and entrepreneur Kriti Sanon visiting NDTV Profit’s new office in Mumbai and ranging the BSE bell on NDTV Profit to signify the launch of trading for the day followed by Niraj Shah and Tamanna Inamdar interacting with the actor on her skincare venture Hyphen.
The ceremonial lamp at the NDTV Profit launch was lit by Uday Kotak, Ramesh Damani, Ashish Chauhan, Raamdeo Agrawal and other.
Sharing his expectations on NDTV Profit Uday Kotak, founder and director, Kotak Mahindra Bank wished NDTV Profit the best and hoped that the channel becomes the catalyst to convert the nation from a set of savers to a set of investors. On his part Amitabh Chaudhary, CEO & MD of Axis Bank, said that NDTV Profit should try to build on the growing aspirations and ethos of India. Anil Agarwal, chairman and founder of Vedanta Ltd, the leading natural resources and technology conglomerate expressed the hope that NDTV Profit will become the voice of a billion people. Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and chairperson of Bharti Enterprises said that digital activities are contributing 11% to the gross domestic product at the NDTV Profit India Unlimited Summit.
During the day experts like Raamdeo Agrawal, co-founder of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., and Madhusudan Kela, managing director of MK Ventures Capital Ltd, attributed their hopes on Indian market.
NSE chief Ashish Chauhan and former SEBI Chairman UK Sinha rang the ceremonial closing bell of the market at the launch. After the markets closed for the day, the evening saw a grand launch party featuring live music & more, attended by leading lights from media agencies as well as industry CMOs, all celebrating with the team that made NDTV Profit possible and celebrating the brand that is unabashed about helping its audiences make money from their investments.
