Mobile phone brand Vivo is continuing with its #JoyOfHomecoming theme in this year’s Diwali campaign.
The campaign film of 2023 is focused on a young man, his wife and their infant, who is about to celebrate her first Diwali. The father who is employed elsewhere abroad is selected to go to the US for a work trip. Unfortunately, it is around the time of Diwali, so he will have to skip his trip back home. His wife is fully encouraging of this US trip and supports him to the hilt.
While making the work trip seems the logical thing to do, with every video call, he is drawn closer to his child. The thought of not spending her first big festival with her seems to be troubling him no end. When his child says ‘Papa’ for the first time, he is on his way to the airport. That seals the deal and he makes the trip back home instead of flying to the US.
The brand signs off encouraging people to celebrate Diwali with their loved ones, making the festival of lights glow brighter.
Vivo’s Diwali film from 2021 was also centred on the theme of #JoyOfHomeComing.
