Amaze, a Luminous Power Technologies inverter battery brand, has launched a short film for Diwali that spotlights the power of the festive season to mend and make familial bonds stronger.
The Diwali film has been conceptualised and executed by Bodh Entertainment and produced by Dora Digs.
The film features the elder of two sons returning to his parents’ house for Diwali, with his wife and son. He is disturbed when his father asks him why he took a train and hesitantly admits that the tickets for three people – now that his son too needs a full ticket – would have been expensive. When his father says he should have asked them or his younger brother to arrange for the tickets, he loses his cool. He launches a scathing attack on his father for always showing him in a bad light. He accuses the older man of having taken all his decisions for him, and contends that he should also therefore take responsibility for his ‘failure’.
An exchange with his mother elsewhere cools him down, where the lady explains some of the sacrifices his father made to be close to him when he was growing up. She drives home the message that sometimes parents’ understanding of their kids is slower than the pace at which kids grow up.
Another exchange between the father and son follows, where the duo set up decorative lights powered by an Amaze inverter battery. An honest exchange between the two result in a warm embrace. The brand urges viewers to illuminate their relationships this Diwali, while it promises to do the job of lighting up their homes..
Neelima Burra, Chief Strategy, Transformation and Marketing Officer, Luminous Power Technologies, said, “We are delighted to present the #Amazewalidiwali campaign, celebrating the importance of relationships with a message that reminds us that our homes are illuminated not just by lights and lamps but by the warmth of our family bonds. We believe that our products play an essential role in making Diwali celebrations brighter, and our campaign meticulously portrays the values that are close to us. The film beautifully captures the authentic spirit of these celebrations, and we encourage families to come together and celebrate the festival of light, love, and reconciliation, as it symbolizes the core values we hold.”
Bodh Deb, Founder & Chief Content Officer of Bodh Entertainment, said, “Diwali has always been the best time for brands to connect with their core consumer base. Amaze wanted to break free from the usual norms and engage with its consumers on a deeper, emotional level. The idea was to create something that doesn’t come across as just another Diwali ad. We aimed to recreate intimate moments from our lives that evoke a strong sense of personal connection and the warmth of home. Our hope is to strike a chord with our target audience across Bharat, fostering a genuine emotional connection during this special festival of lights.”
