State Bank of India has unveiled a campaign with cricketer Mahindra Singh Dhoni. A cricketer, especially in India, has a multitude of fans, but what when that same cricketer is a fan of someone? State Bank of India builds on this premise with the campaign ‘Desh ka Fan’.
The film offers a montage of people from all walks of life with a never-give-up spirit. A young boy practising his bowling in the driving rain, or a medical school aspirant managing a grocery store with his studies, or a young mother managing her children while making a presentation – Dhoni iterates he is a fan of this changing India. Also a fan of such people is SBI, which is going that extra mile to make banking easier, be it through personalised banking solutions, technology or support to MSMEs. After all, the country is changing, and SBI is a fan.
The narration is in Dhoni’s voice, lending gravitas to the film.
