Japanese sports performance brand Asics announced Indian hockey player Manpreet Singh had joined as its brand athlete. Asics’ brand philosophy, “sound mind, sound body,” emphasises the need to maintain balance between mental and physical well-being. The brand envisions to not only supporting but also encouraging young talent to achieve new heights and set benchmarks.
Manpreet Singh Pawar led India to win a Bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, Silver medal at the Champions Trophy and Gold medal at the Asian Champions Trophy. He also led the team to earn a Bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Singh has also been recognised for his individual achievements with the Arjuna Award and the FIH Player of the Year Award.
