Neil Patel Digital India (NPDI), which commenced operations four years ago, has grown to a headcount of 200 and a top line of US$ 4 million, said Pradeep Kumar, CEO, Neil Patel Digital India, in conversation with Medianews4u.com.
It is looking to up the headcount to 350 this year and the top line to $6 to 7 mn, and grow the team size to 500 in two years, he added.
NPDI is a subsidiary of Neil Patel Digital, headquartered in the US.
“In these four years, Neil Patel Digital India has grown in terms of scale, brands we work with — much more than what any of the contemporary agencies would have achieved in eight years. The major growth factor is the brand (founder) Neil Patel has built in the past decade and how we have utilised it in the service model to provide solutions to our clients,” he said.
NPDI has been profitable from the day one and is consistently growing, claimed Kumar.
“During the initial days, we faced challenges as people weren’t aware of us as a brand that was part of Neil Patel Digital — there were misunderstandings like we were just using the brand name. But we proved our mettle and through the quality of services offered, we proved NPDI to be part of the global entity. We operated in a collaborative model with Neil Patel’s global process, teams and strategies,” he explained.
NPDI started off with five clients in the ‘mid-level’ category, one of which was Narayana Hrudayalaya. Now, the agency claims to be working for over 150 brands across categories.
“When we take our total client list, 75 pc of them are medium sized to small, and 25 pc are enterprises. In 2022, we had challenges with client retention. In 2023, the attrition rate is less than 5 pc,” Kumar said.
On Services and team
NPDI offers an integrated solution across SEO, paid media, social media, programmatic, market place optimisation, UX, UI suggestions and content marketing.
SEO and paid media contribute 80 pc of the company revenue. Brands from South India contribute over 45 pc of our revenue, said the CEO.
“In the second quarter of 2023, we are planning to scale up social media and we have recruited people from top brands — they will be soon joining the company. We are also planning to concentrate on the creative aspects, we are investing in more resources in that vertical as well. The current number of team members are 200 and we are planning to scale up to 350 by 2024,” he added.
NPDI has offices in Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai.
“When we started off we had an office in Coimbatore, which was discontinued during the pandemic period. Now we are concentrating on Tier 1 cities, currently we are still in work from home model and slowly trying to bring hybrid culture into the company. Mumbai office was the recent expansion NPDI has undertaken,” he said.
“Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans of tripling our business. This endeavour will encompass enlarging our office space, assembling new teams, and firmly establishing our business presence in strategic locales. In the next two years, we are planning to transform ourselves as a 500 people agency and to attain that mission, we have just onboarded Ajaz Mirza as Vice President- Operations. He is implementing many processes and structures. Currently we are a $4 mn agency and by 2023-24 we are aiming to be a $6 to 7 million agency,” he concluded.
