The One Club for Creativity has opened its 2024 Creative Hall of Fame nominations to global members. Until now, the not-for-profit’s Board of Directors nominated the inductees for the biannual Creative Hall of Fame.
The Creative Hall of Fame honours lifetime achievements of creative luminaries in advertising, design, and education, starting with the induction of Leo Burnett in 1961.
An official statement informed that criteria for consideration are three-fold:
- Impact: Those who have a celebrated body of work.
- Influence: Those who have used their creativity and leveraged their resources to advance the industry and serve the greater good.
- Inspiration: Those who have had a measurable, positive effect on the next generation of creative leaders.
Nominations must be accompanied by a current bio, headshot, six to 10 examples of work, up to 10 references to accolades and recognition received, and at least four testimonial letters of support, the statement added.
Qualified nominees will be reviewed by The One Club Board of Directors, who will select the final inductees who will be honoured at a fundraising ceremony in New York in November 2024.
The fundraising event is to support the non-profit One Club’s ongoing education, diversity, gender equality and professional development initiatives.
Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, The One Club, said, “The Creative Hall of Fame is the ultimate recognition of visionary creative professionals and educators who transformed the industry, uplifted underrepresented groups, and continue to inspire the next generation of creative leaders. It’s only appropriate to engage the broader community and open the nomination process up globally to those who represent the current state of creative excellence.”
Nominations are open and will end on October 20, 2023. The One Club members can nominate their choices at no cost. Those wishing to become members can do so by paying an annual fee..
