The Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) announced the results of the Summer 2023 round of its Accreditation in Indian Public Relations (AIPR) programme.
A total of 28 young PR professionals from across India secured the certification, taking the number of certified practitioners to 68 since the programme’s launch.
For the certification, candidates were assessed for competencies and expertise. A preliminary round tested aptitude and scrutinised proficiency in various facets of PR. In a final jury round, those who qualified the prelims presented to a jury of 20 consultancy leaders, corporate communication, academic and HR professionals on August 5, 2023 in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai.
In this batch, 128 people applied for the certification with 57 making it to the final jury round. The bar has been raised with a higher cut-off score, informed a PRCAI statement.
“As the realm of communication and reputation management continues to evolve, the need for highly skilled and certified public relations professionals has become more important than ever before for our industry. This intensive certification process offers a transformative learning experience and motivation for individuals seeking to thrive in the world of public relations,” said Atul Sharma, President, PRCAI.
