Pan-India diagnostics service provider Redcliffe Labs has launched a campaign ‘Bimari Se Azadi’ ahead of Independence Day.
The campaign underlines the importance of regular and timely health checkups through the character of an old man narrating the tale of Rani Laxmi Bai to his granddaughter.
He keeps postponing his health check-up despite reminders from his son. As the son leaves for work, the child reminds her grandfather that the enemy fled only because Rani Laxmi Bai put up a fight. She goes on to ask him how his bodies’ enemies will flee, if he doesn’t put up a fight by taking up health checks. As he sees the light, a lab technician from Redcliffe lands up. The son reveals on a voice message that he has arranged for the test since it had been put off for too long. As his checks are being done, a voice over urges viewers to get regular tests done, to get ‘Bimari Se Azadi’ (freedom from diseases).
Dheeraj Jain, Founder and MD, Redcliffe Labs, stated, “Our ‘Bimari se Azadi’ campaign is more than just a message; it is a call to action. We firmly believe that a nation’s progress starts with the well-being of its people. Through this campaign, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility towards one’s health and encourage everyone, especially middle-aged and senior citizens, to participate in regular health checkups actively. By doing so, we can collectively work towards a healthier India. As Independence Day approaches, Redcliffe Labs’ ‘Bimari se Azadi’ campaign serves as a poignant reminder that true freedom begins with good health. Recognising the vital role of diagnostic tests in the early stages of disease treatment is crucial. These tests help accurately identify illnesses and medical issues, forming the basis for effective medical care.”
A company statement said that it aims to democratise premium diagnostics for 500 million Indians by 2030, offering over 3,600 tests for various age groups and major ailments.
Its network comprises over 80 labs and over 1700 collection centers nationwide.
