Aruna, a finalist of Star Vijay’s Super Singer Season 9, has emerged as the first female winner in the senior category. The live grand finale of the singling reality show took place yesterday in Chennai
During the grand finale, the top five finalists namely Aruna, Abhijit, Priya Jerson, Prasanna, and Pooja, delivered their performances in front of singers and music composers, including music director Harris Jeyaraj.
Despite fierce competition, Aruna emerged victorious securing the title of Super Singer Season 9. Her achievement was rewarded with a house worth 60 lakhs Rupees and a cash prize of 10 lakhs.
Priya Jerson secured the first runner-up position, receiving a cash prize of 10 lakhs. Prasanna secured the second runner-up position and was awarded a cash prize of 5 lakhs.
Hosted by Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande, the grand finale was an unforgettable evening filled with performances by the finalists, singers, judges, and distinguished guests. Judges, including playback singers Anuradha Sriram, Unnikrishnan, Sweta Mohan, and Benny Dayal, were present at the event. The show also witnessed the presence of guests, such as singer K.S. Chithra, Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, Antony Das, and voice expert Ananth Vaidhyanathan.
