Branch International, a personal finance app, has announced the elevation of Neeraj Gupta to the position of Managing Director for the India business.
In his new role, Gupta will be responsible for the overall P&L of the Indian entity. His focus areas will include driving growth, incubating new products, fundraising and building a world-class team.
Commenting on the appointment, Matthew Flannery, CEO, Branch International, said, “India continues to be an exciting market for us. With its booming mobile industry, increasing adoption of financial technology solutions, and fragmented microfinance distribution, Neeraj’s experience in this dynamic market will be vital in capitalising on these opportunities.”
Gupta has over 15 years of experience in various industries. He has worked with organisations like Accenture, Goldman Sachs & FICO. Prior to Branch, he was part of the leadership team at an NBFC, Unimoni, and was instrumental in launching key business initiatives. Earlier, he was a management consultant with Accenture with a focus on financial services and FMCG.

Gupta is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow where he majored in finance during his MBA. He also completed his B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from IIT Guwahati.
