Varthana, an education focused Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC), announced the elevation of Chandra Kumar CS to the position of Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) in addition to heading Customer Experience.
Varthana is looking to ramp up its growth significantly in the coming year and in this crucial role supporting the organisation’s growth, Chandra will oversee Varthana’s people strategy, spearhead talent and leadership development, diversity and inclusion efforts, improve employee and customer experience and cultivate a high performing culture.

With over 20 years of experience in Human Resource across various industries, Chandra comes with the capability of creating organisational culture, forging highly collaborative teams and developing employees through mentorship and coaching.

In his previous role as Head of Business HR and HRSD at Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was responsible for driving HR strategy for Global business units and bringing in excellence in HR service delivery. Prior to Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was with Tata Communications responsible for the implementation of the company’s HR Strategy, Policies, Practices and Systems for their Global Enterprise Solutions Business units.
