With over a month since launching Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan, JioCinema announced nine more winners who won a car each for TATA IPL 2023 matches played between May 11 & 17. A total of 55 people have won a car from the contest to date.
On May 11, Rajasthan Royals’ Yuzvendra Chahal became TATA IPL’s highest-wicket taker in the fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders. Uttarakhand’s Ramgulab too was celebrating as he won a car winner playing Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan in that match. A Suryakumar Yadav special was in store on May 12 for the millions to see but only 23-year-old Taram Tatak was one among the millions to win a car that day.
The double-header on May 13 saw R Dinesh Kumar from Chennai and Gajanan Shirodkar from Goa emerge as winners of the ultimate prize. Chennai-resident Dinesh Kumar won the car during Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants. Shirodkar became Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan’s 50th winner during the Punjab Kings-Delhi Capitals fixture.
Shirodkar’s joy was trebled as he celebrated his birthday, and anniversary and was informed about winning the car on the 14th. “I haven’t been able to sleep since the 14th as I got the call from JioCinema that day which also happens to be my birthday and wedding anniversary,” said the excited Goan.
Sunday’s double-header had Vikas Devrani from Dehradun winning the contest’s top prize on May 14’s evening match between Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders. “I have a bike and it doesn’t allow my family to travel together. Thankfully, now with the addition of a four-wheeler, it will help us all commute together,” said Mumbai Indians fan Devrani. The day match when Rajasthan Royals imploded against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Milon Chakma from Lawngtlai, Mizoram, wasn’t complaining as he got home a car.
A Gujarat Titans and Hardik Pandya fan, Vishwas Gawade’s 29th birthday gift came 11 days later when Gujarat Titans beat Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 15. Mandi-resident Virender Kumar climbed up the ladder of contestants the day Lucknow Super Giants took one step closer to playoffs beating Mumbai Indians on May 16.
The 400-run fest between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on May 17 got Fleming Khymdeit his big-ticket prize. The 29-year-old Shillong resident became the first winner from Meghalaya in Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan.
An official statement issued by JioCinema read, “Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan is aimed to enhance the viewer’s experience while watching the TATA IPL on JioCinema vis-à-vis passively watching the league on legacy platforms. The contest offers viewers prizes like smartwatches, Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth neckband, and wireless earphones, and a chance to win one car every match, among other prizes.”
“Viewers need to hold the phone in portrait mode. A chat box will open at the bottom of the screen where the question appears before every over along with four options. Viewers who give the most correct answers during the match, stand a chance to win the car,” added the statement.
