NDTV to enter regional news space with nine channels

NDTV is set to launch nine news channels in different Indian languages, as announced in a letter addressed to the NSE and BSE.

The letter, dated May 17, 2023, stated that NDTV’s Board of Directors approved a proposal to seek permission from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for the phased launch of these channels.

Furthermore, the letter mentioned that NDTV will inform the stock exchanges once they receive the necessary approval from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

According to market sources, NDTV’s proposed plans for the nine news channels is a part of the broadcast network’s regional foray.
