Chennai: Leading Multi System Operators (MSO) TCCL, VK Digital and SCV has settled the dispute, over pricing of the channels under NTO 3.0, amicably with Disney Star India that paved way for addition of ‘Star Value pack’ Channels in the base pack effective from 9th April 2023.
In his message to the Local Cable Operators affiliated under TCCL, the founder P Sakilan said that the pricing issues has been settled mutually and requested all the LCO affiliated under TCCL to start airing all channels of Star India effective from 9th April 2023.
Similarly, in its circular to operators, SCV also requested the LCOs to restore the channels feeds of Star India with immediate effect while it has promised to update the new pricing shortly. Sources also revealed that similar communication was circulated by VK Digital also.
Earlier, the channels were removed from the base pack since 7th April owing to disagreement on pricing under NTO 3.0, With this development, the Star Value pack from Disney Star has started beaming in 6.5 million cable homes across Tamil Nadu. It consisting of top GEC Star Vijay, Star Sports Tamil and other channels like Vijay Super, Vijay Takkar, NGC and Hungama dubbed in Tamil language.
