#Unrulyflyers
Another incident has come to light, this time leading to #Indigo being among trends. An unruly, drunk passenger attempting to open the emergency exit is not good news for anyone. We need to bring about an understanding of what is acceptable and what is not. We need to demonstrate the repercussions of unacceptable behaviour to act as a deterrent. If this young gentleman is politically connected, this too will silently pass. If not, can we make an example of it to deter others? Meantime, some papers say it was a 30-year-old while other reports say he was ten years older. Really doesn’t matter in this context but would if you care for journalism.
From a larger picture, such behaviours are extensions of people breaking the line, getting up on landing when the fasten seat-belt signs are still on, playing music or videos aloud on their devices, and even chanting in groups on flights oblivious to the existence of others. If a society does not have a sense of decorum, it must be instilled.
An unruly passenger travelling from #Delhi to #Bengaluru on an #Indigo flight not only caused inconvenience to his co-passengers but also tried to open the emergency exit mid-flight. https://t.co/6MV6kn4jjz

#ChangemakersForGood
After the IAA’s Olive Crown Awards for communicating sustainability that wrapped up its 13th edition in Mumbai last week, we are all set for AFAA’s #ChangemakersForGood Awards that will honour winners at AdAsia in Korea later this year. Winners of national legs will compete in a pan-Asia face-off. The awards will celebrate ‘change makers’ in ‘advertising’, ‘government’, ‘industry leader’ and ‘innovation’ categories. Why should an advertising industry association take this up? Why not? There is no entry fee. The awards underline the power of communication as a force for good. There is still about a week to enter. More at www.afaaglobal.org.
SOMETHING WORTHWHILE- Impactful and relevant.

#MSD
This may be the last IPL he is playing and that only adds to the aura of the man. His fans can’t be kept down. We’re seeing posts that the highest viewership on the streaming platform has come when he is out there on the field. He became the first middle order bat to cross 5k runs in IPL. The stage seems set for a befitting farewell. Whether or not that happens this year only time will tell. The MSD fan frenzy is far from over and it certainly is not going to stop till at least the end of this IPL season.

#ViduthalaiPart1
It’s a Tamil film, but the director is one who broke through the language barriers long ago. Vetrimaran’s ‘Visaranai’ made heads turn as India’s official entry to the 2017 academy awards in the foreign language film category. Earlier, his second feature ‘Aadukalam’ has picked up six national awards. A rare director who can deliver commercial hits with good cinema, his latest ‘Viduthalai’ turns a comedy star into a serious actor, and marries a serious subject that should do well commercially. Viduthalai’s success at the box office will augur well for Indian cinema. Fans and viewers meantime, are loving it.

#MahsaAmini
Billboards are up in Nashville. Protests continuing on the ground across Iran. Fathers of slain youngsters killed by the regime for giving voice to #WomanLifeFreedom join hands by their killed kids’ graves. Others in other parts of the world can look at Iran and feel grateful for the relatively infinite freedom they have. Or feel sad and angry. Empathy in any form should go a long way to bring consolation, if not peace, to those protesting and being persecuted on the streets of Iran.

As we've been saying all along, the #MahsaAmini & #WomanLifeFreedom #Revolution in #Iran is still alive and nothing can stop it. Western governments must side with the people of Iran and not the terrorists that have occupied it. #HamidrezaRouhi
