Trivandrum: The leading Malayalam satellite channel Asianet is all set to commence the 3rd season of the Malayalam version of Popular quiz show KBC titled “Ningalkkum Aakam Kodeeswaran” (NAK Season 3) from 29th December.
The third edition of “Ningalkkum Aakaam Kodeeswaran”, which saw the Malayalam action hero Suresh Gopi donning the hat of an anchor with élan, offers a prize money of Rs. 1 crore, so far unsurpassed on South Indian television channels.
The game show will test the competence of the participants in General Knowledge, Current Affairs, History and all the major fields of knowledge. The preliminary audition round had participants vying for opportunity to attend the phone-in, written test and interview etc… Asianet has initiated the preliminary audition process with rounds of questioning from November month onwards and screening was completed by 1st week of December and the floor shoot was started from 14th December onwards.
The finalists from the audition and screening levels will play a ‘Fastest Finger First’ round to make it to the main game. From there on, they play rounds with increasing levels of difficulty, and winning higher amounts of money, culminating in the Rs. 1 crore prize. Contestants can stop at any time having viewed the next question. The show producers have added a new option ”Code Red” in this season.
Indranil Chakraborthy – COO of Big Synergy during his recent interview to tvnews4u.com said that ”We have introduced a new lifeline “Code Red”. Herein, after the contestant finishes all the life lines, the contestant’s companion can recommend the contestant to quit the game. Helps in involvement of the companion in the game play”
The KBC format owner BIG Synergy Media Limited has produced the show. The show will be aired on Asianet @ 8.00PM on every Monday to Thursday.
