Apollo Hospitals has collaborated with Mumbai based production house CarbonBlack Films for an ad film on its Proton Beam Therapy.
The ad film directed by John Francis is a narrative based on the true story of the cancer survivor Jemin.
The film begins by depicting the joyous couple Jemin and Bansari, who are living their lives to the fullest. However, their blissful existence is suddenly shattered when Jemin is diagnosed with a rare brain tumour. As Jemin’s health deteriorates and he loses hope of recovery, it is his wife Bansari who supports him and assists him in finding the appropriate treatment. The ad then shows the couple receiving Proton Beam Therapy treatment at Apollo Hospitals, which eradicates Jemin’s life-threatening illness. The ad then concluded by revealing the real faces of Jemin and Bansari .
Speaking on the creative vision for the project, Director John Francis added, “Surviving a cancer episode is not easy. When the brief came to me, the story was moving and the objective immediately was to make an empathetic Oilm that captured Jemin and Bansari’s journey. I wanted to make a Oilm that gives hopes so that it offers a meaning to life while pushing a strong purpose. Thanks to our partners at Apollo Hospitals, we were able to reveal the real characters in the end, which allowed me to pack the truth with a punch.”
Avinash Viswanathan, Producer at CarbonBlack Films said, “Apollo Hospitals has been at the forefront of healthcare in India. Teaming up with them and bringing this Oilm to life allowed us to explore a heartwarming story and the positive impact technology in the healthcare space can provide. The story is an ode to Apollo Hospitals’ mission of #WinningOverCancer.”
