#CowHugDay
Yes, thankfully, this has now been withdrawn. The idea of asking people to go hug a bovine on Valentine’s Day might have seemed like a masterstroke to some, attempting to hijack as it did the V-Day by celebrating the (holy) cow. Two mangoes in one stone, as they say in Tamil. What ended up happening was India became the laughing stock all across. Perhaps a ‘Hug An Animal Day’ would have worked better? Just thinking. Actions like better animal shelters? The more the far right pushes such an obvious agenda, the more the moderates who will move away – from this brand of their religion and the politics of religion.
Likely to be lonely on Valentine's Day? The government of India advises you to hug a cow. You can 'decolonise' in the same swift movement.

After full international exposure and turning India into a laughing stock, they have withdrawn the Cow Hug Day appeal! 🙄 🤣

#Farzi
From ‘India’s attempt at Breaking Bad’ to other comparisons, there is no dearth of positive commentary on this new show. The casting has also come in for praise. The first episodes are attracting rave reviews. Can’t wait to watch it and wishing I was one of the early birds.
First two episodes of #Farzi seems like India's attempt to #BreakingBad. And I'm loving it. pic.twitter.com/eAsWSzRkfN

Only watched the pilot, and #Farzi already firing on all cylinders. Excellent set up, razor-sharp screenwriting by @rajndk, @MenonSita & @sumank, @shahidkapoor brings star power and commits to the part. Amol Palekar is ♥️. @hussainthelal’s dialogues are kadak and mazedaar! pic.twitter.com/JgZxTuNcoS

Dear @shahidkapoor You were too good in #Farzi with a special mention to this scene. The way u have explained the Plight of the middle class man will surely connect with everyone. @rajndk this one is clear winner. Kudos to the entire cast. @PrimeVideoIN pic.twitter.com/Jf79xEARYR

#Lithium
This is great news. The missing ingredient in India’s self-reliant electric vehicles journey is now available. According to the official geological survey info, we’ve probably got more reserves of it than most countries. But there’s more to it. One needs all the elements termed MIFTs (Metals Important for Future Tech) to be in place and the chain to be completed. Availability of Lithium is an undeniable shot in the arm for the EV industry, but there’s work to be done.
The discovery of 5.9 million tonnes of #Lithium in J&K is a huge development! This is THE crucial raw material for battery technology and the EV revolution. India will now have one of the largest reserves in the world.

Lots of focus on #lithium, but the #energy transition depends on a host of raw materials, including #copper #graphite #zinc #boron #nickel #rareearths & more. BofA calls them the #MIFTs – metals important for future tech. #EVs #solar #wind #batteries

The World Bank reports that the demand for graphite in #batteries is the highest among minerals, accounting for almost 53.8% of the total demand.

#TurkeySyriaEarthquake
It was a toss up between #IndVsAus and the #TurkeySyriaEarthquake and one had to pick the devastation over sporting action. The world has united to help the affected nations. There is proof that humanity is by and large alive. It just disappears from sight when hate is in the spotlight.
This video made me cry.

#MahsaAmini
A year is a long time. It takes enormous will to fight a regime that suppresses opposing voices into silence by death for so long. The world needs to do more than ‘stand by the Iranian people’.
