Hindu Tamil Thisai, in partnership with Aditya Birla Group’s Ultratech Cement Company and Sivasankar Trust, organized a mentoring program ‘Padipom Uyarvom’ to raise awareness among 2,000 10th-grade Government School Students in Ariyalur Block about the importance of education and provide them with guidance for success in both their studies and life.
D.Rajkumar GM Hindu Tamil Thisai said that the initiative is 4th in a row and also during Paramedic it was done online.
Ariyalur District Collector P. Ramana Saraswati said, “In this competitive world, students need to plan their education. At this age, students should not have any other thought except education. I interact with students wherever I go. They will tell the truth. When we talk to the students about water supply and road facilities for the people, they say without hesitation. Also, the social responsibility of the students can be realized. She said that the students who have participated in this program should share what they learn here with the students who are not able to participate in this program.
Educational Psychologist Dr. Saranya Jayakumar said, “Students should study education as a drug. Similarly, rest the brain and sleep well. Placement in higher education is available based on marks. If you get high marks, you will get a place in the best institutes. So there is a high chance of getting a job after graduation. Education is very important to earn money in this competitive era. Students should consume more nutritious foods including vegetables. Do something daily to get sweat out of your body. It can also be a game. Newspapers and books must be read daily. Any problem at home, parents will take care of it. He said that students should focus more on studies only.”
Education Consultant Ashwin Ramasamy said, “72 types of entrance exams are conducted in higher education. Students should prepare immediately to face it. Students should not choose any course because their parents, relatives and friends have told them to study it, they should choose the course they are interested in and study it.”
“Students should not waste time, words and money unnecessarily. It was advised in the study program for 10th students that it is easy to succeed if you think about the study in a relaxed way.In a competitive world, students need to know which course has what job. A student who learns to respect books and parents is sure to progress in life,” he added.

In the programme, literary and spiritual speaker Sumathi Sri said, “Adapting students’ handwriting is education. Students should leave small desires and try to achieve big desires. Education should be acquired for that. Parents and teachers should tell students about other people’s successes as well as their failures. Only then will students not be discouraged by the failure. He said that if we want others to be appreciated, students must realize that education is necessary for that and they should study well and succeed in life.”
Bhaskaran Krishnamurthy, a retired officer of the Income Tax Department said, “Students should decide what they want to study after class 10 and plan it now. This first step of Higher education will decide your career. Students should have doubts and question about anything that they need clarity on.. Science begins with questions and ends with questions. Science has no solution on its own. There should be no fear, hesitation, or shame.”
Professor A. Mohammad Abdul Kather said, “There are various types of employment for students after completing class 10 such as study with work, job after completion of studies, job after studies. First we have to choose which one is right for us. Students should not be afraid, hesitation, shyness etc. The word “can’t” should also be left out. Similarly, students should avoid inferiority complex. Unnecessary burdens must be shed to go up like a missile.”
