The Olive Crown Awards from the International Advertising Association India Chapter (IAA) and the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) is in its 13th year.
These awards, billed as the first green awards for creativity launched in Asia, receives entries from across India and several parts of the continent. This year organisers will try to get entries from across the world, said Awards Committee Chairman Janak Sarda.
MediaNews4u.com also asked him about the Corporate Social Crusader category, which has seen winners including Reliance industries, Mathrubhumi Group, Tata Power Company, Hindustan Unilever, Piramal Foundation, Yes Group, Dainik Bhaskar Group and Apar Industries take home top honours.
“The Corporate Social Crusader is a very important part of the Olive Crown Awards. This category salutes the green efforts of a corporate in the year gone by. It not just salutes such commendable efforts but also serves to inspire our corporates to emulate such efforts,” said Sarda.
The organisers will seek a note on such efforts and some pictorial evidence if available. Any corporate who has been a brand champion for Planet Earth can send in an entry. “And since the Olive Crown Awards are run as a cause, there is no entry fee,” he added.
A jury that is knowledgeable on these issues will examine entries and decide who should win this prestigious award, noted the Chairman. The jury, comprising creative and corporate leaders, will be announced in mid-February 2023.
