JioCinema in India overtook Linear TV viewership during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
As per the press release issued by Sports18, 32 million viewers tuned in to the platform on the final day of the tournament, in which Argentina won the trophy for the first time since 1986.
The release further stated that 110 million viewers in India consumed digital content during the World Cup, and the event generated 40 billion minutes of watch time on Sports18 and JioCinema.
