Discovery Channel’s new documentary series, “Build India with Vaibhav Dange,” was launched in New Delhi last night.
The 12-part series chronicles the technology and execution methods behind India’s man-made marvels. The episodes follow a magazine-style format which introduces viewers to the process behind how each project was planned and executed. The show also brings to life the experiences and challenges faced by individuals and experts working on the field through in-depth interviews. It will not only showcase the decision-making that has gone into the country’s most ambitious projects but also explains their importance for India’s economy and security.
“From ground-breaking innovations to record-breaking marvels, the brightest Indian minds are reimagining the potential of the country’s superabundance of resources to change the face of modern India,” said, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, during the curation raising ceremony.
“Innovative engineering ideas are being executed through cutting-edge tech to create a world-class infrastructural landscape that will accelerate the rise of India as a Superpower,” he added.
“These are unique stories about the passion to reshape India’s infrastructure. The stories showcase how excellent engineering, great human capabilities and cutting-edge technologies are building New India,” said Vaibhav Dange, the show’s curator and one of India’s foremost infrastructure experts.
