Upon signing the agreement, RK Arora, CFO, iTV Network, said, “that iTV’s collaboration with Gulshan Kumar Film & Television Institute of India would pave the way for fostering industry-academia linkages by identifying young talent”.

It is in this very direction that GKFTII has entered into collaboration with iTV Network that owns and operates two national news channels – the Hindi front runner India News, English news channel NewsX and various regional channels viz. India News Haryana, India News Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand, India News Rajasthan, India News Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, India News Punjab & Himachal, India News Gujarat and NE NEWS that establish the network’s strong foothold in the regional news market. The network also runs five print publications – The Sunday Guardian, The Daily Guardian, The Business Guardian, India News and Aaj Samaaj”.
In digital space, “itv network runs more than 25 news portals including inKhabar.com, newsX.com, indianews.in, sundayguardianlive.com, thedailyguardian.com, businessguardian.in and aajsamaaj.com with strong reach in the digital space. Such an initiative will envisage bridging of gap between Media Education and Industry, placement of students in suitable positions in iTV Network and encouraging media students to undertake live training and projects at there”, he added
Speaking over the collaboration, Dr. Deepti Trivedi, Vice President, T-Series Educational wing said, “that iTV Network will educate and enlighten students enrolled under various courses of Mass Communication and Journalism about different functions of a News Channel, multiple career paths leading to their placements and gradual progression curve. This would happen via channel engagement for the students under which students will be provided with hands on training in the channels”.
