The founders and promoters of New Delhi Television (NDTV), Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy, resigned as directors on the Board of RRPR Holding Private Limited (RRPRH), a promoter group vehicle of NDTV, the company stated in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
The statement further read that RRPRH has approved Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan as the new directors on Board with immediate effect.
RRPRH on November 28, 2022 had stated that it had transferred shares constituting 99.5 pc of its equity capital to Vishvapradhan Commercial (VCPL)-owned by Adani grou, thereby completing the official takeover of NDTV by the Adani group.
The transfer of shares will give the Adani group control over a 29.18 pc stake in NDTV.
RRPRH holds 29.18 pc stake in NDTV, which is being taken over by the Adani group, owned by businessman Gautam Adani.
