Star Suvarna is all set to premiere its new fiction show ‘Katheyondu Shuruvagide’ on 28th November and air every Monday to Saturday at 7 PM.
The show sketches the lives of Krithi and Yuvraj Bahadur who comes from two contrasting families with different social classes. Krithi, a strong, independent, confident female protagonist ends up marrying the arrogant Yuvraj Bahadur. Both the lead characters appear as chalk and cheese, and yet commence a relationship together.
To launch the show, Star Suvarna has rolled out on-air and digital campaigns. Starting the day of launch, viewers will stand a chance to win a 43-inch LED television every day for a week. Called Suvarna Golden Number, this will require viewers to watch the episode and answer a simple question that will show up during the telecast.
The channel also launched a digital campaign called Hennmakle Strong Guru (Women Are Strong) on social media, with Krithi sharing messages about strong and independent women, and relating them back to her own character in the show.
The channel’s statement read, “This is the kind of plot setting that will entice any viewer with a mind of their own into a story driven by gender, class, values, dignity, and entitlement.”.
“And also, Womanhood is laced with many complexities imposed by culture, society and familial responsibilities and many times by self-inflicted fear. Coupled with the one who faces harsh realities and emerges triumphant is truly a strong woman,” added the statement.
