#Byjus
The announcement of layoffs, an emotional statement on the tough decision, followed by news of signing Lionel Messi as ambassador for its ‘Education for all’ initiative in quick succession, has not gone down well – with most people. The brand that earned the trust of parents with an insightful ‘Parent se partner bano’ pitch seems to have lost the plot in more ways than one.
Amount BYJUS spent on Messi : 40 million dollars (3290260000 INR)
Average salary of an employee in BYJUS= 1300000
Divide them both you will get around 2533.
Number of employees laid of by BYJUS = 2500#BYJUSXMESSI #byjus pic.twitter.com/6yWJgE8yl2

#ImranKhan
If his opponents were out to get him out of the picture, they have made him a hero instead – all over again. Leaders getting assassinated in Pakistan is not entirely new. But experts say in this case, there is more than meets the eye and Khan could in fact return with the army’s blessings. Here’s hoping he gets well soon and our commiserations on the unfortunate incident. But it’s all good to watch – from a distance.
Tanks out in Lahore Cantt. Tea for indians (enemies) and tanks for the natives.
What a wonderful scene in #OccupiedPakistan as Pak Army have aimed their tanks towards public to stop their peaceful protest at Lahore Cantt.💔💔

Former PM #ImranKhan has showed utmost courage, resilience & leadership in the face of extreme danger. He is Pakistan's best-known international brand. With his politics of defiance a/g the most wealthy politicians & their backers, he is now a living legend. He is destined to win

Most legit statement from a witness so far regarding the complete murder attempt on #imrankhanPTI. He was the one present near #ImranKhan & witnessed the attacker. #Peshawar #ISPR#ریڈ_لائن_کراس_ہوگئی pic.twitter.com/9LvXxdBFmK

So Elon Musk is firing away. The $8 blue tick continues to generate debate but the conversation has been hijacked now by the mass firings, including back home in India. The same activists and lawyers who took on Musk when a similar set of developments unfolded at Tesla are back at work. He got away in that instance. One wonders if the US laws on notice periods will help those sent home at the blue bird now. Reading Musk’s Tweet, one gets the impression that Twitter has done nothing legally wrong.
I got the email… I still have a job
but I stayed up last night watching hard-working, talented, caring people get logged out one by one and I don't know what to say.
Tweeps, you are remarkable. #OneTeam #TwitterLayoffs

I'm now in contact with many Twitter workers who reached out to me about a class action lawsuit overnight.
You had the right to 60 days notice under federal and state WARN Acts.
You didn't get it.
Mr. Musk, the storm is coming.#TwitterLayoffs

Twitter employees, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING when you're laid off.
Consult with an attorney first.
Buried in the fine print may be a waiver of your rights under CA and federal law.
Those rights are important and valuable!#TwitterLayoffs

Regarding Twitter’s reduction in force, unfortunately there is no choice when the company is losing over $4M/day.
Everyone exited was offered 3 months of severance, which is 50% more than legally required.

#Morbi
Painful accident that should rightfully make us angry. What is even more painful is the quality of some of the debates around it. Let’s face it. Corruption exists. At multiple levels. And someday, someone will pay the price for it. For the ruling BJP in Gujarat, this is indeed a blow coming ahead of the state elections. One guesses though that with the party managing the optics rather well, the impact could be negligible.
I am sure they spent more amount on hospital renovation after the incident.#MorbiBridgeCollapse #Morbi pic.twitter.com/yTUQppfsMr

Update: So two things happened after my WATER COOLER REPORT..
1) Happy to report the new WATER cooler on the first floor of #Morbi Civil Hospital has now been connected and working.
2) Police (including SP Rural) escorted us out of the hospital and now media is not allowed in. pic.twitter.com/7IxyJHHMUd— Ankit Tyagi (@Ankit_Tyagi01) November 1, 2022
My conversation with the #Morbi Municipality chief.
"Due to festive season, they (Oreva) didn't intimate us in time."
"We found out on 29 Oct that the bridge was functional. (Bridge collapsed on 30th)"

#MahsaAmini
The #IranProtests became the #IranRevolution and the world has taken notice. Yet, reports of the regime’s brutal suppression of protesters including killings continue to flow thick and fast. The thing is, almost 50 days later, there is no sign of people backing off. With every killing, the momentum seems to get restarted. The @POTUS has said, ‘Don’t worry, we’re going to free Iran. They’re going to free themselves very soon.” If he was serious, there is hope for the human across the world.
