According to BARC data, (Market Share, TG: 2+, India, Week 39-42’22, All Day 24 hrs), CNN-News18 has retained its leadership with 33.7 pc market share, whereas Republic TV, Times Now and India Today remained at 29.4 pc, 26.9 pc and 5.8 pc respectively.
The channel has also secured top spot in the Prime Time slot of 1800-2300 hours. As per the BARC data (Market Share pc, 1800-2300hrs, TG:15+AB, India week 39-42’22, Mon-Fri), CNN-News18 garnered 32.2 pc market share, followed by Republic TV and Times Now 28.9 pc and 25.9 pc respectively. Meanwhile, India Today remained at the number four position with 8.9 pc market share in the category.
According to the statement issued by CNN_News18, the channel now accounts for more market share than Times Now and India Today combined as per the recent BARC data for week 39-42,’22 and it has remained as the leader in the English News genre for the past 27 weeks.
On the digital front, News18 brands have been garnering solid traction with its views increasing steadily across YouTube and other social media platforms.
