Starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, Vikram Vedha, directed and written by the Pushkar-Gayatri duo, has a lot of expectations riding on it when it hits cinemas on 30th September 2022.
This is a remake – or a ‘completely different’ version – of the Tamil superhit of the same name starring Vijay Sethupathy and R Madhavan.
The film was not just a mega hit in Tamil but was also praised by the audience and critics alike for the writing, direction and performances.
Here’s the official trailer of the Hindi version.
Early reviews coming in suggest that the Hindi version will be more than worth a watch. If the Tamil version is anything to go by, it will be a must-watch for anyone who appreciates good cinema and doesn’t mind some on-screen violence.
It being Roshan’s 25th will make it special for his fans too.
Vikram Vedha will clash with ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ directed by Maniratnam that will release in Hindi in some markets (besides Tamil). The magnum opus based on ‘Kalki’ Krishnamurthy’s Tamil fiction novel will find its share of takers. But we’re guessing Vikram Vedha will rake in far bigger numbers in Hindi.
Let’s wait and watch, after watching both.
