BARC India released its Week 38 data for South GEC markets including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. The positions in the top five list changed for some GEC markets.
Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)
In the Tamil speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2246.15 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1369.42 (000) AMA at 2nd spot and Zee Tamil at 3rd spot with 846.49 (000) AMA. KTV retained its 4th spot with 664.98 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay Super with 362.01 (000) AMA at 5th spot.
Kannada (Karnataka)
In the Kannada speaking market, Zee Kannada continued its lead with 1379.42 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 969.45 (000) AMA at 2nd spot. Star Suvarna entered the chart with 507.19 (000) AMA and claimed the 3rd spot. Udaya TV slipped one spot down and stood at 4th position with 491.65 (000) AMA followed by Udaya Movies at 5th position with 378.49 (000) AMA.
Malayalam (Kerala)
Among the Malayalam speaking market, Asianet continued its lead with 821.26 (000) AMA followed by Mazhavil Manorama at 2nd spot with 202.18 (000) AMA. Flowers TV moved one spot up and claimed the 3rd position with 195.57 (000) AMA. Asianet Movies entered the chart with 171.9 (000) AMA and claimed the 4th spot. Surya TV dropped from 3rd spot to 5th spot with 170.89 (000) AMA.
Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana)
In the Telugu speaking market, the top four positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Star Maa continued its lead with 2044.9 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu at 2nd spot with 1433.54 (000) AMA and ETV Telugu with 1021.02 (000) AMA at the 3rd spot. Gemini TV retained its 4th spot with 632.69 (000) AMA. Gemini Movies entered the chart with 617.34 (000) AMA and claimed the 5th spot.
