The APAC Effie Awards for marketing effectiveness has announced 107 finalists following two rounds of judging. India has 28 finalists from five agencies – Leo Burnett, Lowe Lintas, McCann Worldgroup, Ogilvy India and The Womb Communications.
In the category of Multi-Market Products, there is only one finalist that is from India. The entry is ‘H Is for Handwashing’ from Lowe Lintas/MullenLowe Singapore for client Unilever.
In the Beauty & Wellness category, there are three finalists including one from India. The entry is ‘Keep Girls in School’ from Leo Burnett Mumbai for client Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care.
In the Beverages Non-Alcohol category, there are two finalists including one from India. The entry is ‘Inverting Conventions to Win’ from Ogilvy Gurgaon for client Coca-Cola India.
In the category of Food, there are three finalists including one from India. The entry is ‘Inspiring Parents to Be Playful’ from Leo Burnett Mumbai for client Mondelēz India Foods.
There are two finalists in the Healthcare category, both of which are from India. The entries are ‘India Breaks up with Their Chemists’ from Leo Burnett Mumbai for client Pharmeasy and ‘The Sleeping Night-Watchmen’ from The Womb Communications for client Cipla Health.
In the Media, Entertainment & Leisure category, there is only one finalist. ‘The Brainy Game’ from The Womb Communications for client Galactus Funware Technologies has made the cut.
In the category of New Product or Service – Line Extension, there are two finalists including one from India. The entry is ‘Eliminating Offline Gold Dependency’ from Leo Burnett Mumbai for client PhonePe.
Two finalists from India are among the five in the Asia Pacific Brands category. The entries are ‘Inverting Conventions to Win’ from Ogilvy Gurgaon for client Coca-Cola India and ‘It’s Okay to Pee in Your Pants’ from The Womb Communications for client Nobel Hygiene.
In the category of Branded Content, there are four finalists including one from India. The entry is ‘Bournvita Presents Get the Message’ from Ogilvy Mumbai for client Mondelēz India Foods.
In the category of Branded Utility, there are four finalists including two from India. The entries are ‘Bournvita Presents Get the Message’ from Ogilvy Mumbai for client Mondelēz India Foods and ‘Not just a Cadbury Ad 2.0’ from Ogilvy Mumbai for client Mondelēz India.
In the Business-To-Business category, the only finalist is from India. The entry is ‘The Undie Army’ from The Womb Communications for client Nobel Hygiene.
In the category of Carpe Diem – Products too, the only is from India. The entry is ‘Inverting Conventions to Win’ from Ogilvy Gurgaon for client Coca-Cola India.
