Mumbai: In a first ever move, India has been named as the ‘Country of Honour’ at the upcoming ‘Marche’ Du Film’, organized alongside the Cannes Film Festival, in France. Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur announced that India will be the official ‘Country of Honour’ at this year’s Cannes film festival with a spotlight on India, its cinema, culture and heritage. Gamitronics, the company behind mega successful Metaverse PartyNite and pioneer in VR/AR & Robotics/AI based in Hyderabad is one of the startups that has been officially invited to the forefront at the Marché du Film, a market that gathers international film professionals including producers, sales agents, buyers and festival organizers eager to participate in a marathon of networking events.
At the culmination of the programme, Gamitronics along with other startups will have the opportunity to pitch their products and services to key brands and agency decision-makers at a showcase which is a part of the main programme. The showcase is open to Cannes delegates to attend, who can also meet the companies later for an interaction session.
