We asked a cross section of attendees about their takeaways from the Industry Conclave on day one of the festival and what they’re looking forward to in the coming days.
“I quite liked the session featuring actor Yami Gautam in conversation with Rana Barua, Group CEO Havas. The highlight of the day was the (AAAI) new logo unveiling. Mostly, the first day is a networking session especially because people are meeting after a gap of two years. Overall, it’s a good experience. I quite like the themes for the second day. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow’s sessions and have dedicated my entire day to attend all the sessions.”
— Jhumka Saha, Senior VP, LodestarUM
“Yami Gautam’s session with Rana Barua and the one with Consumer Affairs & Food Distribution Ministry Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh in conversation with Piyush Pandey of Ogilvy were the two great sessions I enjoyed. My favourite part of the day was during Barua’s conversation with Yami, when the question about the South Indian movie industry and what Bollywood can do to catch up with it was discussed. This year’s Goafest is digitally driven totally. Altogether it is a great experience and tomorrow I am looking forward to attending the knowledge sessions and master classes.”
— Ajay Sathyan, Head – Digital & Creatives, Maitri Advertising Works
“This is the first Goafest I am attending and there is so much to learn as a fresher, especially attending different knowledge sessions. I am looking forward to attending the sessions in the next two days; I am especially looking forward to attending P V Sindhu in conversation with Sameer Kochchar. I hope to learn a lot many things.”
— Priyanka Kothari, Executive – Content, Mindshare
“It gives immense happiness to attend knowledge sessions by Vineetha Singh and Piyush Pandey; the insights shared by the veterans were knowledgeable, especially on digital being the new media. I look forward to garnering more insights from tomorrow’s sessions. The industry is not only limited to ad agencies as we have witnessed and are going to witness the participation of people from Bollywood and Tollywood.”
— Rekha Oswal, VP – Hyderabad Operations and Digital, Tempest Advertising
“It’s really amazing to be here at Goafest. The atmosphere here feels like everyone has just been waiting for this for two long years. The session line-up today is truly brilliant and power-packed.
The key points shared by proud, young entrepreneurs Vineeta Singh & Ankush Sachdeva reaffirmed the importance of right content and digital-led disruption and transition in our country.
Can’t wait for tomorrow, as the gurus are back. Looking forward to more vibrant sessions, as speakers from distinct backgrounds speak about OTT, new age advertising and broadcasting.”
