Journey
I have truly enjoyed my journey, and have picked a few standard thoughts that go a long way with you.
- Learning never stops
- Challenging your own limitations to drive the growth
Last 14 years I had the opportunity to work and drive business growth across various sales & marketing verticals; from fast fashion & lifestyle brand (Mango), to international format tableware (Rosenthal & Versace), entertainment (The Comedy Store), to the most celebrated travel magazine (Conde Nast Traveller India) and now with the super luxury brand – Lamborghini India.
Inspiration & Inspiring the Team
Books inspire me, and at times I prefer going to fictional characters that have strong personality which you may want to immaculate like Lizzie Bennet – Pride and Prejudice, various women characters in the book – The God of Small things by Arundhati Roy and Tiya A parrots Journey Home by Samarpan. I also follow Anjali Sud very closely;
I am a big fan of her zeal and her business approach. I have had some amazing mentors, and they made me dream and foresee my growth. I take the same strategy to my team. If they grow, I grow! Reflecting back on your own strength and capitalizing on the same is my go to mantra – I make my team follow their strengths and dreams. They are their own inspiration.
Empowerment of Women
Women need to believe in taking risk on their own ability to shape the future, we are seeing the rise of women entrepreneurs, political leaders, members on board of directors and celebrities whose vision to find equality and bridge the mind-set is starting to influence the gen z. However, this encouragement is much required in tier 1 & tier 2 cities. Corporate have a great opportunity to bring change through bringing gender equality & diversity in organization structure and culture.
