Journey
It has been 18 stupendous years in the field of marketing, and I’m glad to grow up the ladder with an exposure from ground level to the level reached today. The industry trends, business goals, market innovations they have all driven me to stay abreast, updated and match pace.
Inspiration & Inspiring the Team
I have picked up inspiration from various people around me that has left an impact on me, be it men or women. Each one of them possessed a special skill-set or a trait that I would want to imbibe. However, the one person who propelled me to take-up the challenges that have led me on my path, and strive to achieve my visions is my mother, who was also a working woman. At a time and era when women empowerment wasn’t a part of the mainstream narrative and oftentimes, education or careers weren’t a priority for women; my mother worked in the corporate world for 33+ years and paved the way for me to dream.
65% of my team is packed with some powerful young women who are ambitious, and serious for career path. I try to let the values I own trickle down to them, best provided to them by fostering an environment where they can think and grow.
Empowerment of Women
The conversation around ‘women empowerment’ has gained pace especially in the last decade and it is essential to understand the meaning of the word. I feel empowerment means different for different women purely depending on their vision and dreams.
