Journey
I have been in the advertising and design industry for almost 25 years now. But nothing has come close to being as exciting to me as co-founding my own company. I truly believe that, when things happen, they happen for a reason, And for me and Ambarish Ray to start Digital Dogs right at the onset of Covid meant facing herculean challenges and sleepless nights with no certainty. But it has been one wonderful journey because when everyone else around learnt how to cook we learnt how to get the best done, working remotely. And growing from 2 people to 5 to 23 in 2 years across 4 divisions only to keep growing is what I call a fantastic road trip. Every single day is a new beginning for the two of us and we have only learnt to make it better.
Inspiration & Inspiring Women
“What do you want people to remember you by?”
I have been designing ideas for most of my life. But my inspiration comes from legends who have designed their own lives, working on their terms and creating magic for the rest of the world. Exceptional ideas that revolutionise the way the rest of us consume. Every single day. The sole purpose of us setting up this company was to be able to do that and the only thing I wake up to is how to make it happen. The way we see it. How else do you explain the hunger?
That is what I keep telling my team. We are not in the business of saving lives. We are in the business of making lives happier. Including our own. And the beauty of that is, we get to decide the form of it. And the time that we are in, couldn’t have been better and more encouraging. The only battle therefore is with yourself. What can be more inspiring than working on an open brief of designing happiness?
Empowering Women
Bertha Benz. Florence Nightingale. Mother Teresa, Malala Yousafzai. Anandibai Joshi, Rani Laxmi Bai. Sarla Thakral. Mary Kom.
The only thing common in these women is the innate desire to empower themselves. With their grit, determination and passion. To move forward. To change perceptions and perspectives. Women intrinsically inherit the quality. They have the ability to do a lot more than what the gender demands. They are strong mentally and emotionally, and the restlessness to accomplish what they have set their minds on. But not all have the strength to get up and walk. And here comes the basic need to empower them and arm them with intellectual ammunition. So they choose the path they want to walk on. We bow down our heads at the feet of all Goddesses. Then how can we choose to not empower the ones who empower us with their blessings? It is not only the need of the hour, but the future of the hour. And the sooner we wake up, the sooner we will have a truly breathable metaverse.
