Oppo has set up a specialized Power and Performance lab at Hyderabad R&D centre marking its third important development towards building an entire product development ecosystem from India.
Tasleem Arif, VP, and R&D Head, OPPO India, released a statement on Twitter saying, “Oppo has always been leading the industry-wide revolution and setting new records with its innovation in flash charging and battery technology. OPPO VOOC flash charge was independently developed by Oppo and first released in 2014. Ever since it has been leading the development of fast charging technology in the industry. At MWC 2022 we established new benchmarks in the fast-charging innovations by showcasing our 150W and 240W SUPERVOOC flash charge technology.”
“Today, we are witnessing a 360-degree shift in consumer behaviours when it comes to smartphone usage and our lives revolving around smartphones all day. Hence our R&D vision in India is to transform our user’s life adhering to our focus on continuous innovation,” he added.
Arif further remarked on the new development, “With an aim of redefining user experience and taking our innovation story to newer heights, am glad to share that we have set up a specialized Power and Performance lab at our Hyderabad R&D centre. This marks the third important development towards realizing our dream of building an entire product development ecosystem from India. Aligned with our vision of “Inspiration Ahead,” which takes optimism and Inspiration against the challenges and uncertainties everyone is facing, we are aiming to build a self-sustainable ecosystem for smartphones. Our team will work on bringing meaningful innovations for the world and India from India.”

It will develop solutions that showcase stellar power optimization and unmatched performance which would be a must for every 5G device. Through this set up of optimization lab alongside the R&D centre, we aim to develop technology for mankind from OPPO which will end up in the hands of millions of users globally,” he continued.
