New Delhi: The MPEG-4 slots on DD Freedish have been allocated to 12 channels at the fourth annual E-auction for the period from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.
The channels that secured a slot are: Aastha Bhajan, Bflix Movies, Chardikala Time TV, India News UP/UK and News18 UP/UK, News 24 Think First. News India 24×7, News State UP/UK, Raftar, Samay, Sudarshan News and Swadesh News.
The highest bidding price and the average revenue per slot for this auction have also gone up in comparison to last year. Registering a rise of 43%, the average bid/revenue per slot has gone up from Rs 0.89 crore last year to Rs 1.27 crore this year. The highest bid price has gone up by 42.85% from Rs 1.12 crore last year to Rs 1.6 crore this year.
DD Freedish is the free-to-air (FTA) direct to home (DTH) platform and reaches more than 40 million households in the country. The reach of MPEG-4 (HD quality) is estimated between 2 to 3 million.
