Times of India (TOI) issued an apology statement to Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar after publishing his image instead of Delhi based journalist Rajeev Sharma in a news report on the Chinese espionage case.
The tweet from Times of India read, “In a few editions of TOI, a picture of Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar was inadvertently carried in a report about journalist Rajeev Sharma. TOI deeply regrets the error and apologizes in the most sincere terms to Mr Chandrasekhar.”

The Enforcement Directorate had attached properties worth Rs 48 lakh worth of journalist Rajeev Sharma under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for alleged leakage and supply of sensitive information to Chinese intelligence officers.
