Vivo has pulled out as the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League-2022 and will be replaced by Tata Group. Reportedly, BCCI will be earning an amount of Rs 440 Crore from the transfer of title sponsor rights.
Vivo bagged the IPL title sponsorship rights for the period between 2018 to 2022 for a reported sum of Rs 2,190 Crore. The deal was dispersed during the 2020 IPL citing India- China border disputes.
The 2022 IPL will be a 10 team tournament with RPS Goenka Group claiming the Lucknow-based franchise for a sum of Rs 7090 Crore and the CVC group bagged the Ahmedabad-based franchise for Rs 5,625 Crore.
