In today’s time when we are battling with the new normal, the digital surge and a plethora of players and storytellers the viewer is bombarded with stories everyday. Then comes the initiative by the founders of Supari Studios, Post Office and Keeda Media to launch their new initiative Kulfi Collective to tell stories differently and be the disruptor in the web space.
Kulfi Collective is a modern media network that builds brands and studios that function at the intersection of content, commerce and culture. The media collective is reimagining the future of storytelling for an open, decentralised web 3.0, especially in the spheres of gender & identity, music & culture, gaming & sports as well as finance and entrepreneurship. Kulfi is on a mission to make the world (wide web) a better place with one incredible story at a time.
Advait Gupt, Co-Founder & CEO, Kulfi Collective speaks to MediaNews4u on Kulfi Collective, the art of storytelling and much more.
Kulfi Collective…what does the name mean?
At Kulfi, we tell stories that are authentic, rooted in culture and designed to make you smile. And that’s why we’re called Kulfi – because you cannot say it without smiling (literally and figuratively). Go on, try it 🙂
Over the last few years, we have built our three verticals – Supari Studios, Post Office and Keeda with the goal of bringing together creators and technology to create innovative content around the passions of young people in India and across the world. Bringing the three verticals under the Kulfi Collective umbrella, enables us to combine the strengths, leverage synergies and tap into shared resources of talent and technology to develop high quality online video content at scale.
Today digital is the go to platform for all, what are the innovations you are looking at for brand communication?
The internet has disrupted the way content is distributed and in turn, the way it is consumed. We see the next wave of disruption in the way this content is produced. At Kulfi, we are building an integrated solution of talent and technology that creates content IPs at scale and builds communities that helps brands and platforms connect deeply with their audiences.
Today talent is an issue, how are you channelizing young talent through your platforms?
On a consolidated level we develop a funnel by offering a range of opportunities to attract and retain top creative talent. We see young creative talent joining us at Supari Studios to sharpen their skills while working with some of the best brands in the world. Over time, this talent tends to lean towards developing their own original content via Keeda. Additionally at Post Office, we are always testing the limits of creativity and technology by producing immersive content experiences in motion design, augmented and mixed reality. The diverse set of opportunities and environment of cross learning serves as a robust platform to empower, attract and retain young talent.
