New Delhi: Sunfeast India Move as One, India’s largest citizen-led digital participatory movement, today announced its association with the humanitarian organisation The ART OF LIVING as its Value Partner. The belief of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, One world family, where each one opens up their hearts for everyone else, just like they would for their loved ones resonates with the very ethos of this movement and has been a guiding principle for the foundation as well.
Celebrating India’s 75th year of Independence, Sunfeast India Move As One will kick off on 15th August 202. The movement encourages citizens, from any part of the world, to run, walk, jog, cycle, use a wheelchair, treadmill, or stationary bike to pledge a distance and commit a positive action for themselves, while making a difference to a child’s future.
Urging people to participate, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder of the Art of Living & The International Association for Human Values, said, “Move through time and let’s change the Time. The world runs to make life a celebration!”
The Art of Living Foundation has been working with a vision of individual and social upliftment in society and grassroots initiatives towards children’s welfare, to give a better life, a better tomorrow. As part of the association, AOL will engage and inspire people from across the globe to join Sunfeast India Move As One, for children causes supported by International Association For Human Values (IAHV)
A simple act of registration at INR 149, will contribute to a child’s education, nutrition and hygiene requirements, healthcare, and provision of child protection and psychosocial support that will allow children to cope with the complexities around them. Individual participants, groups, educational institutions, and corporates also have the opportunity to magnify their impact, by choosing to add a top-up donation or fundraise to the NGO of their choice where the entire top-up amount will go towards charity
Individuals joining the movement through the Art of Living will contribute to the organisation’s Gift A Smile Program that provides holistic free education to over 70,000 students in 702 schools across 22 states of India in the slum, tribal and rural belts where child labor and poverty are widespread.
Meanwhile, Vivek Singh, JT. MD, Procam International added, “The year 2020 was a challenging one for us all. However, what we will remember is how we came together; with our hearts beating as one, for those in need. As we continue to fight the effects of the pandemic, our children are at the risk of being among the biggest victims facing a lasting impact. We empathize and in our small, we will strive to restore their smile, their self-confidence, and their belief. We are blessed to have the support from Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and this will continue to strengthen this movement.”
