Haridwar: Leading piping solutions firm Apollo Pipes (APL Apollo Piping Systems) is supplying free drinking water for the pilgrims in Haridwar Kumbh Mela by sponsoring 20 water vans moving across key Mela arena such as Har ki Pauri and other Ghats. The Mela witnessed more visitors than usual during the two Shahi Snans on April 12 (Somvati Amavasya) and April 14 (Baisakhi). The water vans came very handily in quenching the thirst of the pilgrims witnessing the Shahi Snans. The next Shahi Snan is on April 27 (Chaitra Poornima).
“In the scorching heat, when the temperatures cross mid 40 degrees, visitors find it difficult to access clean drinking water in the Mela. Our moving vans are ensuring that everyone’s drinking water needs are well taken care of. All our representatives are ensuring proper sanitization measures while serving the public,” said Shradha Shukla, Manager, Marketing, Apollo Pipes.
Apollo Pipes also supported the Uttarakhand Police at the Mela by providing 10 water tanks to police camps and 132 barricades for effective traffic management. This CSR activity for Apollo Pipes was conceptualised and executed by Vritti Foundation, CSR wing of the leading media and marketing services firm Vritti Solutions.
