Bengaluru: Mitron app, the leading Indian short format video app, will live telecast the Moirang Divas celebration today from 4:00 PM onwards. The Moirang Divas celebration is taking place in New Delhi, where Shri Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor of India, will be present as the Chief Guest; Shri K.V. Subramanian will be the keynote speaker, and Smt. Kiran Chopra, Director of the Punjab Kesri, will be the special guest. This year’s topic is ‘Planning the Indian Economy on the basis of Ancient Indian Economic concepts of Arth Shastra’.
Moirang Divas is celebrated on April 14 as the Azad Hind Fauj, led by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, captured Moirang in Manipur in a fierce battle. It was the first victory ever of the nation against the British forces. In January, Mitron announced its partnership with INA Trust – founded to perpetuate Subhash Chandra Bose’s memory by sharing his ideology and philosophy with India’s youth. Due to the ongoing pandemic where people are not allowed to step out, Mitron is the perfect place to watch the Moirang Divas’ happenings from the comfort of one’s home.
Commenting on the partnership, Nisha Pokhriyal, VP-Marketing, Mitron TV, said, “We have immense pride and respect towards our freedom fighters because of whom we can see and live in a free world today. It’s an honor to partner with INA trust and FICCI to showcases Moirang Divas’s to our users at the comfort of their homes. Our live streaming feature now allows us to showcase such historic achievements through our app and do our bit in serving the nation in the future”.
Brig (Retd) R. S. Chhikara Chairman of Netaji Subhash Bose-INA Trust said: “We are delighted to yet again bring and celebrate one of the momentous days from our history and share it with the youth of the nation. Led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Indian National Army (INA) defeated the British, to establish the provisional independent government in Moirang, Manipur. As part of Netaji’s125th birth anniversary celebrations this summit allows us to manifest his legacy to one and all and keep his memory alive. We are pleased to be associated with Mitron TV as our digital partners and take this initiative to live to millions of Indians.”
On the occasion of the year-long commemoration of the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Mitron had unveiled a campaign titled #Netaji125 early this year, which paid tribute to one of the foremost and most prominent freedom fighters in India’s independence movement.
