Tell us about how you started The Shutter Cast? How has the journey been and tell us about your services and some clients?
The shutter cast started around 4 years ago as a side project, when I was unable to find any reliable website developers for my work. Since then only, we have been working tirelessly to bring more and more technology to startups and offering the gamut of services for their operations. We started with website development but now we have expanded into a one-stop solution for all the startups in the industry. We want to be recognized as the best and most transparent digital marketing agency in the industry. We are dealing with most of the prestigious clients in the market and these are the ones that are the oldest and have helped TSC a lot since inception- Nish Hair, Gifting Best Wishes, Fkitchens, Infini AI.
How is the business shaping up in times of Covid-19? What has been the impact of Covid on your business?
Covid-19 impacted all the businesses in the market and forced them to go digital and adapt changes accordingly. Digital transformation is becoming a need of the hour. From healthcare to digital, everything is moving to digital to provide the services to their respective audience and users. We as a digital marketing agency, have seen a huge rise in the number of clients approaching us for acquiring digital services and we are aware with the fact that this will continue for so long in the coming years.
How have brands changed or modified their communication strategy? And what has been your advice to all your clients?
Absolutely yes, it was very much necessary for brands to change their communication strategy during the pandemic, especially in the period of lockdown when no one was coming out of their homes. So it was very difficult for brands to promote their products or services and reach out to their targeted audiences through offline modes. Now, brands are focusing more and more in connecting with their customers on a personal level. We have some of the most innovative campaigns focusing on the current world and the changes COVID has brought to the world. Influencer marketing is a new normal for brands to connect with their targeted audience, so we also believed that tapping influencers is the best way to showcase products and services online.
During these hard times how are you keeping up the morale of your teams that are working remotely? How are you making sure about the mental health of employees so that the lockdown doesn’t drive people crazy?
Timing is very tough for all of us. It is very difficult to keep ourselves calm and focused because of the on-going situations in the world. For me as the founder of the organization, the mental well-being of the employees is at priority and I can’t compromise with it at all.
At The Shutter Cast we have very informal team structure, everyone is chilled out and the whole environment is very positive. We have virtual movie nights, play online games etc., to keep ourselves busy and entertained during these times. There are no strict rules as such but we always make sure that out work will not get hampered in any case.
What is your experience of working from home? How has the agency adopted the new normals?
We are working from home since the lockdown begins, so it is completely new normal for all of us and we all should adapt it as a new work culture for next few months or year. I personally love working from home because you can do whatever you want to do while doing office work simultaneously.
It is not new that we started working from home after Covid-19 only, even before COVID 19, we at The Shutter Cast were majorly worked from home. I personally feel it is very efficient and saves a lot of time. Also, I love travelling and have a Travel based YouTube channel, so it will be more convenient for me to work and travel together.
Being a digital agency how are you making sure that you’re ahead of the curve in these times of uncertainty and crisis?
Everyone is racing with each other to stand out among the all in the same industry. Because it is very important to showcase our best abilities in front of the client to ensure that we will provide them the best services and output. We understand the needs of our customers and then plan accordingly. It is important to know and predict how the specific industry will change. At The Shutter Cast, we believe in changing crisis into opportunities.
What has been the impact of COVID-19 on your business and the ability to generate new business?
Our main business has seen tremendous growth during these times where the whole world is pushing for more and more digital. We had to delay our expansion plans such s a clothing line and a customer PC line due to current situation. But we all hope that things will be better and back on track soon.
How will businesses shape up post the lockdown?
Covid-19 pushed organizations to change their current business models to walk with all in the industry who are transforming through digital services. We believe that the changes that are happening during this time will have a permanent impact on the world. We all will start liking working from home, taking online consultations, and more and more companies adopting calls over physical travel.
Any trends that you see emerge post-lockdown?
Remote work is something I see will stick with us as it saves cost for companies and travel times as well of the employees. In the marketing industry, I believe that influencer marketing will grow more and more and become the favorite mode of communication among brands with their targeted audience.
