Mumbai: The sentiments have gone strong on national agenda with countrymen supporting “Bharat Narrative” urging Indians to go complete “Swadesi”. Indians netizens finding different innovative ways to express their “Swadesi” attributes.
Soon after appeals made by celebrities like Sonam Wangchuk, Yoga Guru Ramdev, Arshad Warsi, Milind Soman, Abhijeet Sawant, Ranvir Shorey and many others who joined the wagon of boycotting the Chinese products and apps, the movement to adopt Indian brands on social media has gone strong and viral in recent days.
Extending support to #MadeInIndiaproducts-Yoga Guru Ramdev tweeted about installing Indian apps like Flipkart, ShareChat and Roposo.
Interestingly #BharatKiAppShareChat was trending on Twitter with 2000+ tweets on Thursday afternoon with netizens calling for adoption of this Made in India app.
Brands are also going high on #Vocalforlocal and #Atmanirbhar”- From global, MNCs to cross-level indian brands- everyone is trying to connect to their local relevance, essence and market to drive audience interest.
First Indian idol and Singer, Abhijeet Sawant have also made appeal to support Made in India brands. “It’s our responsibility as a citizen to become Atma Nirbhar. If 130 crore people start using only Indian made goods and apps like ShareChat, Jio, Flipkart which will have a worldwide effect. It will help our own businesses to grow. The playback singer has shown his support towards promoting Made in India products, wherever possible” . he said.
Lawyer and activist Varsha Madhukar draws an analogy with Japanese Economy and said ” Post World War II, when Japanese economy collapsed, Japanese took the national initiative to support their country made products, goods and services. The national wide initiative not only revitalized the economy but brought back the lost pride of its nation. I strongly believe we as Indians are now in need to take one bold step by boycotting every Chinese bit to demonstrate the “power of Indians” while also boosting the Indian economy”
