Beyond #WFH is our initiative to spread positivity and inspire our readers by inviting leaders and friends to share what they do to unwind and relax after they finish their work-from-home and work-for-home responsibilities during the lockdown.
While Covid-19 has had multiple impacts on business and Beyond #WFH is not about business, it’s about self-discovery, things that will give us the strength to get through the lockdown, and more importantly for those ‘moments’ that will stay with us for long and beyond this pandemic. PS: We are not talking business!
In this story of Beyond #WFH we bring to you, the unknown side of Mohit Joshi, Managing Director– Havas Media Group India; shared by #MOJO himself.
It is indeed a difficult time for all of us. It’s important to distract oneself from all the negative news that is splashing around by doing something that you love.
These are my 3 key distractions and passion beyond work, and this is how I keep my MOJO going:
#MojosMelodies
Music has always been my friend during my best and my worst times. It has helped me to connect with myself deeply and has given me the strength to carry on. Every evening I dedicate a few hours to singing; it is a great family bonding time as well.
A song that I recently sang on Smule which is very relevant today:
‘Ruk Jana Nahin Tu Kahin Haar Ke’
#MojosMusings
Besides music, I have been penning down my thoughts a lot these days. Here’s something I wrote just before the lockdown had started, dated 18th March-
Let’s hope it’s not too long a night.
World seems to have stopped
To take some rest perhaps
Its lights are low and healing on
To build bridges and fill the gaps ..
These moments of darkness
Transport me many years back
To my growing years in the hills
Where we had candles in every rack.
There on every stormy night
With thunder, all lights would go
Leaving us all in a pitch of darkness
With only candles burning slow..
The world looked different then..
More warm, more friendly and bright
Our dreams found some space to run
Even fly, like a freshly threaded kite ..
Relationships brewed, egos dulled
As we had time for self-contemplation
We came out as better humans
Post-self-talk and reconciliation.
Today too, I feel the light has gone
But we have some candles bright
Make the best use of this time my friends
Let’s hope it’s not too long a night…

Sunsets give me a great sense of HOPE – hope for the next morning, hope for a fresh start, hope for a new life…
I love capturing sunsets and sharing them on social media using the hashtag #MojoChasingSunsets. I even get other friends and followers on twitter to share their sunset shots with me. Here are some of my recent posts on this…
