It has been nearly 17 days since the lockdown came into effect, the recent outbreak of the COVID – 19 has caused a tectonic shift in our lives, and we are all living in unchartered territory. There are so much stress and anxiety about job losses, loneliness, and other factors.
Nielsen India had conducted an online survey on the emotional quotient of the people during this lockdown.
The survey was conducted across the top 6 cities in the age group 15- 45 years, NCCS A & B.
The question asked during this online survey was, with this current situation of COVID 19 lockdown in India please describe the overall feeling towards it on a scale of 1-5 across the scale.
On the question of Happiness, 44% of people responded positively, but when it came to the question of how anxious they are, 42% responded saying they are very anxious. Also the question on how frustrated this whole lockdown is playing on their mind 47% said they were very frustrated, this could be due to many factors, not really related to the lockdown.
Also, about 41% were not at peace with themselves.
The graph shows that we are going through a very difficult time, though we are coping well, more needs to be done.
