Delhi: The mythological drama Ramayana made a comeback on TV to promote social distancing and to keep people glued onto their TV sets. It certainly was nostalgic for many.
According to a report by BARC and Nielsen report titled Crisis Consumption: An insights series into TV, Smartphones and audience, Ramayana attracted a lot of eye balls. It managed to record all time high on the Sunday evening slot with 51 Mn viewers watching the show.
It also became the all-time high among serials in the Hindi GEC category and was the highest rated show in urban and megacities particularly in the Hindi Speaking markets.
On Saturday morning the show was watched by 34Mn viewers and in the evening it was watched by 45 Mn viewers.
On Sunday morning and 40 Mn watched Ramayana and on Sunday evening 51 Mn people watched Ramayana on DD National.
For a lot of millennial who haven’t watched the show proved to be worthy of binge watch.
